With the news that the RHS Chelsea Flower Show is moving to September this year, we were delighted at Colour My Garden that not only it is going ahead, but also about the opportunities the timing brings for a very different look to the show gardens this year.

Garden designers will no doubt be looking to some old favourites to bring colour to their designs and to brighten our autumn days, including we are sure, some of the things that will be at the heart of our next bulb subscription packages – gladiloli, begonia and dahlia.

At Colour My Garden we’ve been championing the much-maligned gladioli and begonia for a while now, and we’re hoping their glories will be scooped up and embraced by the gardeners at Chelsea and emulated by lovers of garden colour across the UK. Hopefully along with the dahlia, which has come back into fashion of late - from sweetshop mixes through to satisfying monochromes, we are always delighted by a dahlia.

Award-winning garden designer Jo Thompson, the creative force behind Colour My Garden said: ‘Hearing that RHS Chelsea Flower Show was going ahead was just the lift we all needed as we carry on through another lockdown, and something positive to look forward to later this year.

‘If you are thinking of getting ahead and bringing the sort of colour to your garden we will no doubt see at Chelsea this September, we can help you create your own little bit of Chelsea magic at home through our bulb subscription packages. These packages are selected by me based on the size and look and feel of your garden to bring you colour long into the autumn and  I think we will all deserve more colour in our lives by then.’

You can sign up for a quarterly or yearly subscription to Colour My Garden and after a few simple questions, Jo will create a tailored design to meet your needs. You will then receive special selections of bulbs delivered to your door throughout the year, at the right time for planting, along with expert tips and guidance from Jo herself and a lovely folder to keep all the information neatly together so you can watch your garden develop over the year.

Packages start from £49.75 per quarter and you can see the full range of subscriptions at www.colourmygarden.co.uk
