FROM a fun children’s room to practical space for working from home, a new show home in Abberley has been styled with modern living in mind.

The eagerly anticipated show home at Elan’s Three Js development is now open to view by appointment only.

The three-bedroom Wythall show home has been styled by Edward Thomas Interiors, using a base palette of warm greys and beiges with blues, teals and a raspberry accent to add depth.

Andy Richardson, managing director at Edward Thomas Interiors, explained: “An ideal family home, the Wythall show home at Three J’s has been styled with a light, fresh and airy design, reflective of the surrounding countryside.

“The ground floor has two main living spaces; a spacious lounge which extends the depth of the property and a kitchen/diner with adjoining utility. Our styling for the lounge focused on highlighting its versatility – we included two Chesterfield style sofas as somewhere cosy to relax and added a drinks cabinet in the bay window to show how homeowners might use the space for entertaining. Similarly in the kitchen/diner, we added bar stools around the breakfast bar for friends or family to pop in for coffee alongside a six-seater dining table and sideboard for more formal gatherings or dinner parties.”

The designers have also given buyers inspiration as to how they could use the space in their own homes.

“Making the most of the Wythall’s transitional spaces, we’ve added a console storage unit in the open space under the stairs, then in the practical nook on the landing, which has its own window, we’ve created a working from home station,” Andy added.

All three bedrooms are generous sizes, easily accommodating double beds. The main bedroom, which boasts an en-suite, and the guest bedroom, have been styled as somewhere to retreat and relax.

“Botanical print wallpaper, chevron patterned furniture and oversized mirrors create a sense of glamour and don’t miss the studded arch headboard in the main bedroom we had specially made,” Andy explained.

“In bedroom three, we’ve been a bit more playful and styled with a Peter Rabbit theme, to coincide with the new movie. Hot air balloons hanging from the ceiling, wall stickers and bunting should really inspire younger visitors.”

Current availability at Three Js includes a two-bedroom Haywood style bungalow, priced from £310,000. A three-bedroom Wythall, like the show home, is available from £380,000.

The homes at Three Js enjoy a leafy setting, with more than 40% of the development being given to open green space including a wildflower meadow and a central community orchard.

They are being built only a short drive away from the Malvern Hills and the spa town of Malvern, and close to Stourport-on-Severn, Bewdley and Kidderminster.
