Finchampstead is set to receive investment of over £4.5 million from David Wilson Homes as part of its delivery of new homes at Finchwood Park located on Nine Mile Ride Extension. Having officially launched off-plan earlier this month, David Wilson Homes at Finchwood Park provides the local property market with a selection of three and four-bedroom homes suitable for buyers at every stage of the property ladder.

The UK’s leading housebuilder has recently started work on the development, with its show home scheduled to be unveiled at the end of the year. David Wilson Southern Counties will contribute £50,000 towards the maintenance of open space, £45,000 towards MyJourney (Wokingham BC’s own Travel Plan initiative)[1] as well as £4,453,327.65 towards local community infrastructure.

Located within the traditional London commuter belt, residents will be able to take advantage of being approximately five miles from Wokingham station and just over an hour from London Waterloo by train.[2] Likewise, the M3 and M4 are within easy reach, providing access to Gatwick Airport. The area also supports reliable public bus routes as well as direct access to a number of urban hubs such as Reading (30-minute drive) and Bracknell (20-minute drive).[3]

Sitting in over 140 acres of green open space, sustainability sits at the heart of the homes at Finchwood Park, with all properties in the first phase offering access to electric vehicle charging points as well as benefiting from photo voltaic (PV) panels. Energy efficient technology included in insulation, water appliances and lighting is featured throughout the homes, with residents able to save more than £2,200 per year on energy bills.[4]

Phil Hurring, Marketing Manager at David Wilson Southern Counties, comments: “Thanks to the excellent schools in the area, the beautiful countryside and access to transport links, Finchampstead is a highly desirable area for families needing more space, or those looking to escape and enjoy a quieter life. We look forward to helping house buyers find their new home in this picturesque part of Berkshire.”

The wider Finchwood Park development offers a complete village package, with planning for its own shops, workspaces, sports facilities including a fitness trail, football pitches and tennis courts as well as a school and allotments.

A selection of three and four-bedroom homes are now available from David Wilson Homes at Finchwood Park, with prices starting at £514,995 for a three-bedroom home
