THE ease of living that a new build home in Worcestershire offers could start before moving day.  With the final phase of homes at Three Js in Abberley now on sale, Elan Homes is offering to help homeowners sell up and move quickly and simply using its EasyMove scheme.

Regional sales director Tracey Ball explained: “Many of our homeowners at Three Js are people who’ve wanted to downsize to a more manageable home. A common factor in their reasons for wanting to move is the ease of living and lower cost of living that a new build home offers.

Research by the HBF suggests that it costs around £70,000 to bring an older house to the same standard as a new build three-bedroom semi-detached. Their research also suggests the gap between the cost of running a new home and an older one is increasing. They estimate that the difference between annual bills in a new home and an older property is currently £2,600 and could rise to £3,100 when the energy price guarantee increases in July.

“What people may not realise is that the ease of living a new build home offers applies right from the start. We’ll help homeowners secure a buyer for the property they want to move from with our EasyMove scheme. It doesn’t matter if you’re moving up the housing ladder or downsizing. We’ll value your home and instruct independent estate agents to market it.

“When you receive an acceptable offer, you can reserve your new Elan home. You’ll exchange contracts with your buyer and us simultaneously and we’ll even pay the agent’s fees.”

The final homes available at Three Js include a choice of two and three-bedroom properties, priced from £285,00.

There’s even the chance to own the rarest of new builds – a bungalow. Priced at £310,000, the two-bedroom Haywood is build complete and ready to move into.

All of Elan’s homes achieve a minimum EPC rating of B, making them some of the most efficient available. It also means they’re potentially eligible for green mortgages from selected lenders.

Located on Clows Top Road, the new homes in Abberley are being built only a short drive away from the Malvern Hills and the spa town of Malvern, and close to Stourport-on-Severn, Bewdley and Kidderminster.

More than 40% of the development is green open space, including a wildflower meadow and central community orchard. Plus, the Abberley Circular Route is nearby, providing an opportunity to explore the surrounding countryside.
