Carter Jonas Achieves Planning Consent for Shorewood Homes in King’s Somborne, Hampshire
National property consultancy Carter Jonas has secured planning permission on behalf of Shorewood Homes, to provide 18 homes and new allotments in King’s Somborne in Hampshire. Planning consent was awarded by Test Valley Borough Council.
The 2.5-hectare site is located on Furzedown Road, in the heart of King’s Somborne on land currently used for allotments.
Seven of the 18 homes to be developed will be affordable, and the scheme will incorporate both private and shared amenities, including large rear gardens, landscaped communal areas and off-street parking. The style and layout of the new community will reflect the local vernacular and retain the charming rural character of neighbouring residential areas.
The development will also include 49 new replacement allotments for use by the local community. These allotments will be of better quality than those currently in place and accessible to more of the community, with car parking, a water supply, shared storage, a toilet, raised beds and all-weather paths.
