A NEW start in the UK was made easier for a family from Hong Kong thanks to an online portal enabling them to purchase a new home online.

Rose Cheung , husband Wilson and their children, recently moved from the New Territories to the Willow Fields development from Castle Green Homes in Warrington.

“We’d been preparing to move since last September, searching for houses, cars, schools – everything. We moved here three months ago – the main issue was for a better education for our children who are eight and five. There are lots of good primary schools in this area.  The children love it here – they enjoy their new life more than they did in Hong Kong,” Rose explained.

Castle Green has revolutionised the way it sells homes with the introduction of Willow, a bespoke customer portal, which is effectively a digital new home assistant, taking customers from reservation to aftercare.

“We bought the house online, which is very common in Hong Kong, without seeing the building,” Rose explains.

“We have been very happy dealing with the team at Castle Green. The kept us updated and replied to emails really quickly.  The 3D virtual tours on the Castle Green website meant we could explore the Willow Fields development before it was built and go into the house we were buying and look inside, plus the Willow portal made it easy for us to complete the purchase of our new home from Hong Kong.”

The family is adjusting well to their new home and new life.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to the local people who helped us through and also all the people working in Castle Green,” Rose added.

The family’s new home is a four-bedroom detached Wiltshire style property, with integral double garage.

The lounge is at the front, with feature bay window. A convivial, open plan, multifunctional kitchen, dining and family room spans the entire width of the property, with French doors opening from the central dining space out onto the rear garden.

The kitchen leads through to a practical utility, a convenient cloakroom, accessed via the hall, completes the ground floor accommodation.

Upstairs, all four bedrooms are doubles. The generous principal suite, including bedroom, en-suite and dressing area encompasses the whole of the front of the property.

The second bedroom also benefits an en-suite, effectively leaving the family bathroom to serve the remaining two bedrooms.

“My husband cares about details so we thought if we bought a new home we could choose the décor to match our tastes from the start,” Rose added.

Castle Green sales director Caryl Russell said: “The introduction of Willow, our bespoke customer portal, has revolutionised the way we sell homes. It’s streamlined the process for buyers, whether they already live near one of our developments or are relocating like the Cheung family, and enabled us to move to a paperless system. It’s easy to use, with 24/7 access so purchasers can track progress of their home buying journey at the click of a button from wherever they want, whenever they want.  They can watch the progress of their home, virtually test out different kitchen choices and other features and won’t have to worry about misplacing documents as everything is stored online.”

While the final few homes are now on sale at Willow Fields, Castle Green has just launched Bridgewater View in nearby Daresbury. Between them, the developments offer a good choice of properties.
