THE opening of a new show home this February marks the latest milestone for the growing community taking shape at St Mary’s Garden Village in Ross-On-Wye.

Edenstone Homes opened its first show home at the popular development in 2019. Now that building work has progressed, the company is moving into a new show home – an example of the three-bedroom detached Budleigh Corner style bungalow.

Sales director Adele McCoy said: “Between our two housing brands Edenstone Homes and Bluebell Homes, we’ve welcomed dozens of homeowners to St Mary’s Garden Village including a mix of first time buyers, families and downsizers. It’s really shaping up to be somewhere people love living and that’s partly because of the sense of community that’s developing here. The opening of the play area in late summer was a real high point, providing somewhere for the younger residents to enjoy and where parents and carers could meet one another. We also launched allotments, exclusive for those living at St Mary’s to be able to grow their own fruit and vegetables.

“We’re now looking forward to giving buyers a further insight into life here with the opening of a new show home to showcase the superb specification we offer all of our Edenstone customers.”

The new Budleigh Corner style show homes looks traditional from the front, but has a stunning contemporary twist inside with bi-fold doors and window below the eaves at the rear, effectively creating a double height floor to ceiling glass wall offering lots of natural light into the property.

“The configuration is a lot like an apartment – with an open plan layout that makes the most of the space available. We’ve thought about style, practicality and the wellbeing of the person who would live in this property. For example, the kitchen unit housing the hob acts as divider between the cooking space and living area, while also offering budding home cooks a pleasant outlook with views out through the bi-fold doors to the garden and beyond,” Adele explained.

There’s a dual aspect to the lounge/ dining area, with a bay window to the side. The main bedroom features an en-suite, leaving the family bathroom to serve the other two bedrooms.

The new community at St Mary’s Garden Village will eventually feature 348 homes, plus a range of facilities including feature allotments, walking and fitness trails with equipment, and a gym with a community hub.

Current prices on the Edenstone phase start from £299,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Chepstow style home.
