On Saturday 29th January 2022, David Wilson Homes will launch its brand new Ashridge Grange development in the award-winning market town of Wokingham. Once complete, the development will provide local buyers with a selection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes. The UK’s leading housebuilder has recently started work on the development, with the show home scheduled to be unveiled in the summer of this year.

Having recently undergone large-scale regeneration, Wokingham offers families, investors and first time buyers alike an ideal place to put down roots during this transitional period in the property market post-COVID. The development itself is centrally located in the town, with quick and easy access to a vast array of excellent schools, cafés, shops, leisure and arts facilities, and with Help to Buy available on a number of plots, first time buyers will be able to purchase at Ashridge Grange with just a five per cent deposit.

Located within the traditional London commuter belt, residents will be able to take advantage of being under an hour from London Paddington by train, supporting the flexible return to office working. Likewise, the A329 is only a few minutes away and links to the M4, providing access to Heathrow Airport and the continent. The area also supports reliable public bus routes, and a number of urban hubs such as Reading (ten-minute drive) and Bracknell (22-minute drive) within easy reach.

Kimberley Benson, Sales and Marketing Director for David Wilson Southern Counties, comments: “We know that 60% of the British workforce supports continued working from home provision, so there is a high expectation for our homes to continue to function as flexible spaces. We are pleased to launch Ashridge Grange, knowing these homes provide open-plan living areas as well as energy efficient technology throughout to help with bills, especially as consumers currently face rising energy costs.

“Wokingham is a fantastic area for buyers who are looking to remain close to the capital, without losing the much-coveted access to the countryside. We look forward to seeing prospective residents view the development as well as experiencing what Wokingham has to offer and, in the not too distant future, to seeing the first residents move in!”

There are a variety of family-friendly attractions in Wokingham, with Ashridge Grange also ideally situated only a ten-minute walk from Kentwood Meadows and within a short drive to Keephatch Park Nature Reserve, a nine-hectare local conservation area in Wokingham. A new culture and leisure complex ‘The Carnival Hub’ has also been launched to encourage arts in Wokingham of all ages.

A selection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes will be available, with David Wilson Homes set to launch Ashridge Grange on Saturday 29th January.
